There’s a story I once heard about a miner who dug for gold.
He worked for months but found nothing, and finally gave up.
The next man who took over struck gold… just three feet deeper.
I think about that story a lot, especially when progress feels slow.
When prayer feels unanswered.
When consistency feels harder than usual.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9
The truth?
Breakthrough rarely shows up when things are easy.
It usually comes right after you’re tempted to quit.
Where I’m Growing This Week
After months of travel, long flights, and sitting at a desk again, my body started talking back.
My back and shoulders were stiff, my posture was off, and every movement felt heavier than usual.
So these past three weeks, I’ve been easing back into training.
This week I hit three solid workouts... next week I’m pushing for four.
The pain of those first few sessions? I welcomed it.
Because I knew it wasn’t injury... it was realignment.
The kind of pain that strengthens weak joints, restores posture, and wakes your body back up.
Even after more than 15 years of training, I still forget sometimes:
If you stop moving, your body starts forgetting how strong it was made to be.
We don’t work out for looks, we move to protect what God gave us.
When we neglect our bodies, they become fragile. But when we train, we build resilience, physically and spiritually.
So if you’ve been avoiding the discomfort of starting again, hear me,
Not all pain is punishment. Some pain is preparation.
A Project Close to My Heart
I’ve also been working on something special: The Anchored Daily: Morning Journal.
After journaling for over 13 years, I finally designed a premium version I wish I had when I started... something simple, structured, and faith-driven.
Because let’s be honest, staring at a blank page can feel daunting.
So this journal gives you guidance instead of pressure.
Each page helps you anchor your mornings with:
Scripture — start your day with truth.
Gratitude — shift your focus from noise to peace.
Reflection — process your thoughts before the world rushes in.
Movement prompts — gentle nudges to keep your body engaged.
It’s designed to help you deepen your faith and bulletproof your mornings from digital distraction.
I ordered my first printed copy this evening, can't wait to receive it in the mail!
This journal isn’t just paper, it’s part of my walk with God, now shared with you.
I’ll be revealing more soon, but if journaling has always felt intimidating, this might just be your new anchor.
Let’s Keep Building
Last week, we talked about protecting your mornings.
This week, I want you to protect your growth.
The soreness. The slowness. The repetition. It all matters.
You might be three feet from breakthrough... physically, mentally, or spiritually.
Don’t walk away now.
And if you’ve been walking this journey alone, come connect with me and others inside our Anchored Daily Community.
That’s where we will pray, share wins, and grow together, without the noise of social media.
Final Thought
Growth doesn’t happen when everything feels good.
It happens when you keep going... sore, uncertain, faithful.
So move your body.
Protect your rhythm.
Write what’s on your heart.
And remember... pain doesn’t mean you’re behind.
It means you’re in progress.
